Irene has worked for Citi for 32 years, 28 years in retail credit risk management. She was responsible for providing Independent Risk oversight for Citi’s retail credit portfolios across Asia Pacific, Australia, Japan and Europe, comprising of 19 countries and 20 lines of businesses, portfolio size approximately $70Bn, including residential mortgages, credit cards, unsecured installment loans, unsecured lines of credit, marginable securities backed financing and other secured lending products. Irene has through-the-cycle experience in managing retail credit portfolios through “boom and bust, and to recovery”. Irene has started de novo retail lending businesses in China and Vietnam. For Citi's retail lending businesses under her oversight, she was the primary contact for the retail credit risk division of the U.S. regulators: The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, The Federal Reserve Bank in New York; The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation. She has been involved directly and indirectly through the local risk managers, in the establishment of full positive bureau in multiple countries in Asia and Australia. Irene is well versed with the diverse local regulatory, legal and infrastructural environment of the supervised countries. Chris began his career as an insurance underwriter for the Chubb Group of Insurance companies in 1987. He joined Fico in 1989 to help the company introduce credit scoring and credit bureau scores to the property casualty insurance industry. In 1996 Chris became Fico’s Experian Alliance Manager to build U.S. credit bureau score revenue, maintaining cooperative relations with Experian, and introducing new Fico bureau products. Chris joined Citigroup’s Global Strategic Analytics Unit (GSAU) as a Business Consultant in December of 2000 consulting on scoring-related projects and leading educational efforts in credit scoring and credit bureau usage worldwide. In September of 2006, Chris joined HSBC as VP & Director Training & Development responsible for training on consumer credit scoring, credit risk management, Basel II/III and credit bureaus Chris retired from HSBC in April of 2016 and is taking time off before beginning a consulting practice centered around credit risk management, data usage, data regulations, and associated technical topics. Chris holds a BA in Political Science from UCLA, is married, and father to two growing daughters residing near San Francisco, CA in the USA. |
